BABY PRINCE EVAN

Baby Prince Evan was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia when he was one month old and has been very brave to fight this disease since. He was born in Macalelon Quezon Province, a rural part in the eastern side of the Philippines, where most of the citizens thrive by planting and harvesting seeds. His parents are Austin Evan Milar and Lezel Ilave, 25 and 23 years old.

His father, Austin, is a farmer with no steady income. He is reliant to seasonal harvests of banana, rice, or anything that can be sold to provide for his family. Lezel prefers to be with their child to monitor his health everyday.

Going to the hospital is extremely difficult. Their house is built in the mountainous side of the province where they need to cross a river just to get to the city. With a baby in their arms, it's a struggle. Words cannot describe how dangerous it is for the sick to travel because there's no street lights that would guide their way.

Baby Prince is now one year and two months old. Babies born with Biliary Atresia are not expected to live past two. The only way to save him is by Liver Transplant. We are doing everything we can to raise the funds. The total amount needed is $35000 or Php1.7M for the transplant only and we prefer to do it in India. They are required to stay there for at least a month after the operation and the cost is $35 per day. And also the air fees which are Php25,000 each person.

We have thought of several fundraising campaigns to raise funds. Please support!

BILIARY ATRESIA

Biliary Atresia is a rare disease and is life threatening. It is a condition where the bile ducts inside or outside the liver is blocked. There are many complications when a baby has this illness including pneumonia, heart attack, or multiple organ failure.

Let us join hands to support our baby, Prince Evan Milar. May he celebrate this year's Christmas with a healthy liver. Let's put a smile to his face. :)
